From I-85 Take the HWY 321 Exit, North on 321 for 2 miles, take ramp onto
HWY 279
towards Cherryville for 0.8 miles, parking at Gaston College.

SHELBY HAMFEST in DALLAS, NC
Below is a link to the brochure information - updates will be made as
they become available. Please be patient as we are still in the process of
gathering information and determining prices. We hope you will come out
and help us celebrate a new era for the Shelby Hamfest as we move to our new
location in Dallas North Carolina.

Please note that talk-in will be on 146.880 and on Gaston County Amateur
Radio Society's 147.120 which is closer to the hamfest site.

Gaston County and the town of Dallas welcome
the Shelby Hamfest
FREE Concert
in downtown Dallas, NC on Friday August 29, 6 to 10 p.m.
Kicking off the Hamfest weekend… Main Street will be closed in front of the
museum from Gaston Street to Oakland Street with food vendors, games for
children and of course live music. Bluegrass bands, including Toby
Creek and Fire Creek, have agreed to play the show. Fire Creek has played
for the Hamfest crowd before in Shelby. Toby Creek is also well known
locally.
The town is holding the concert
in conjunction with the Gaston County Museum, which will be open and
providing special programs.
FREE Concert at Dallas Park-Saturday, August 30, 7 to 9 p.m.
Jason Beam & Co.
has agreed to play at the amphitheatre in Dallas Park. Jason does mainly
acoustical, a little electric and w/vocals 70’s, 80’s to classic. A little
southern rock’n jazz! This concert is provided by Gaston County Travel &
Tourism.
Please note that to fish in the lakes you
will need to acquire a NC Fishing License, no park permit is required.

Radio Club's, website. We are currently constructing this site. Keep

The Shelby Hamfest is held every Labor Day Weekend. Thanks again for visiting and hope to see you

Our meeting place is
currently Jackson's Cafeteria, 720 Hamrick Street, Shelby, North Carolina
28150. Our club president and officers invite you to visit us on the 2nd
Tuesday each month at 7:00 pm.
As per our by-laws, to apply
for membership, you must visit one meeting prior to submitting an
application. Applications are only accepted between January and
July. Membership is currently only available to licensed amateur radio
operators.
